At Hackney Green Party, we pride ourselves on our vision of a greener future, and we believe this happens through social, economic and environmental change. Just like our views, we have an alternative way of working – everyone here is a volunteer, and everyone works from home, with an occasional meeting.
If you have four to six hours to spare in the week and have access to the internet, you sound like our ideal volunteer.
We provide training and an ongoing support programme.
We currently have four volunteer positions in our campaigns team and one in our events/fundraising team.
Campaigns role outline:
- To act a point of contact within the campaign team from members, activists, the general public and campaign supporters
- To provide administrative support and assistance to enable the smooth functioning of the campaign including information gathering, which is both desk and field based
- To provide relevant assistance to the Campaigns Officer
Required skills:
- Excellent communication, written and spoken
- Ability and confidence to communicate with a range of people
- Ability to manage and organise self with minimum supervision
- Willingness to learn social media skills and online campaigning methods
- Ability to carry out the assignment from home

- Develop a programme of regular fundraising, social and outreach events for Hackney Green Party members
Required skills:
- Excellent communication, written and spoken
- Excellent motivation and organisation skills
- Ability to use various media for publicity, including the Hackney Green Party website
- Good networking and interpersonal skills
