Richard Bearman
County Councillor for Mancroft Ward
Richard was elected as County Councillor for Mancroft Ward in 2009. His main interests are education and transport. He is a school governor locally and is spokesperson on Children's Services for the Green Party County Councillors. He is married to Janet and they have lived in Norwich for over 20 years.

Amy Stamers
City Councillor for Mancroft Ward
Amy Stammers is an advocate of green politics and researching local policy options. She enjoys meeting and talking to local people about their views, opinions and ideas on local matters. She also enjoys looking for ways to make Norwich a greener place to live. Amy is particularly interested in city regeneration and development, promotion of independent business and job creation, waste reduction and better access for cyclists and the elderly into the city as well as youth inclusion schemes.
Amy grew up in Norfolk and is a graduate of Law and International Development. During the 2010-11 civic year she has been working alongside Councillor Tom Dylan as the Lord Mayor's consort, and has also recently been appointed as a trustee of the Norwich Charitable Trusts. She also works part time for The Grain Brewery, Norfolk, who have their flagship public house in St Benedict's Street.

Adrian Holmes
City Councillor for Mancroft Ward
Adrian has been a City Councillor since 2004. He lives on Oak Street in Mancroft Ward. Adrian’s local successes include working with residents to save the Leonards Street green space from development. He works as a computer programmer and has a 12 year old daughter called Tessa.

Graeme Gee
City Councillor for Mancroft Ward
Graeme puts his talents as a legal professional to the benefit of his community as an active member of numerous community organisations, including the Legal Advice Rota and Norfolk Community Law service. He is a very experienced ex-Labour councillor, serving on a number of committees during his 8 years in office, which ended in 1996. Graeme knows Mancroft ward well and previously represented the ward in the 1990s.

Richard Edwards
County Councillor for Mile Cross Ward
Richard was elected as the first Green County Councillor for Mile Cross Ward in 2009. Richard was brought up in Mile Cross and is proud to now represent the area. He is a member of various community groups. Richard is passionate about protecting council housing and local services such as Post Offices and day care centres.
Nelson Ward
Andrew Boswell
County Councillor for Nelson Ward
Andrew was first elected as County Councillor for Nelson Ward in 2005 and was re-elected in 2009 with 64% of the vote. Andrew lives on Havelock Road in Nelson Ward. He is spokesperson on Environment, Transport and Development for the Green Party County Councillors.
Bob Gledhill
City Councillor for Nelson Ward
Bob was elected as a City Councillor in 2004 and re-elected in 2008. He was previously a Geography and Language teacher for twenty years. His interests include campaigning to protect the unique character of Norwich, such as its independent shops and green spaces.
Denise Carlo
City Councillor for Nelson Ward
Denise has lived in Nelson ward with her husband for 25 years, and is an active Green Party campaigner, currently working with councillors on a range of local issues. She has many years' experience of working on green planning and transport issues. Working hard to take over from Adrian Ramsay as one of the Green councillors for Nelson ward, she is also committed to increasing openness and transparency at Norwich City Council. Denise was instrumental in the recent Green Party success to persuade the Greater Norwich Development Partnership to hold its meetings in public, after having met behind closed doors and spent significant amounts of public money.
Claire Stephenson
City Councillor for Nelson Ward
Claire was elected as a councillor in 2006 and recently became Leader of the Green Party City Councillors. Claire, a part-time teacher, has campaigned for a variety of road safety measures and is passionate about protecting public services. She was active in the Residents Against Unthank Tesco campaign.
Sewell Ward

County Councillor for Sewell Ward
Jenny was elected as Sewell Ward’s first Green County Councillor in 2009. She is passionate about protecting the most vulnerable people in society and is campaigning to save the Silver Rooms day care centre from closure. She works for the RSPB and has a keen interest in protecting wildlife and the natural world.

Peter Offord
City Councillor for Thorpe Hamlet Ward
Peter was elected to as a City Councillor for Thorpe Hamlet Ward in 2008. Peter is very active in the community, attending residents' meetings and taking up issues that residents raise. Outside his work as a councillor, Peter is Chair of Norwich Stop the War Coalition and works as an art therapist part-time.
Lesley Grahame
City Councillor for Thorpe Hamlet Ward
Lesley brings ingenuity, generosity and a co-operative approach to her work as a councillor. She works as a nurse and is very active in the community both as a campaigner and an organiser with Transition Norwich and other organisations. Lesley lives in Thorpe Hamlet with her husband and children and is an active campaigner on local issues. For example, she helped get the new play park at the football ground built.

Jo Henderson
City Councillor for Thorpe Hamlet Ward
Jo is particularly interested in housing, and as a council tenant can relate to the concerns of other city council tenants. Being one of the older candidates and having worked with people with housing and care needs she feels able to understand many of the issues faced by more senior citizens and would work to represent them. She has worked with your Green councillors on a range of issues including road safety, recycling and antisocial behaviour. She is also actively involved in the Mousehold tenants' and residents' group. Jo lives in Thorpe Hamlet Ward, in St James Close.

Town Close Ward
Samir Jeraj
City Councillor for Town Close Ward
Samir was elected as a City Councillor in 2008 and is now Deputy Leader of the Green Party City Councillors. He lives with his partner and fellow Green Councillor Ruth Makoff. He previously worked as an economic development officer for a local council in Norfolk. Samir is particularly interested in promoting ways for residents to participate in council decision-making.
Stephen Little
City and County Councillor for Town Close Ward
Stephen was elected as a City Councillor for Town Close Ward in 2007 and as County Councillor for the same area in 2009. Stephen is particularly interested in protecting public services, such as day care centres for the elderly. Stephen is spokesperson on Finance for the Green Party City Councillors.
Ash Haynes
City Councillor for Town Close Ward
Ash is currently studying International Development at UEA, as well as being a key organiser in the Green Party. Ash lives in Town Close and is a dedicated advocate for all parts of the local community. Amongst her key concerns are protecting council housing and other public services from privatisation.
Wensum Ward
Marcus Hemsley
County Councillor for Wensum Ward
Marcus was elected as a County Councillor in 2009 and is now Deputy Leader of the Green Party County Councillors. He and his partner Rebecca run a local business in Norwich. Marcus is committed to improving quality of life for local people. He is particularly involved in campaigns to create more green jobs, tackle climate change and to promote renewable energy.
Ruth Makoff
City Councillor for Wensum Ward
Ruth was elected as City Councillor for Wensum Ward in 2008. She has been involved in a variety of campaigns in the area, including for road safety measures on Bowthorpe Road and Jex Road and for reducing litter and improving street cleaning around Marlpit. Ruth lives with her partner and fellow Green Councillor Samir Jeraj.
Lucy Galvin
City Councillor for Wensum Ward
Lucy has spent the past fifteen years working in the environmental sector, both locally and further afield. Originally trained as a journalist, she is interested in good communication and policy-making. Her current job is helping to manage the Norfolk Coast area of outstanding natural beauty. She would be proud to represent the citizens of Norwich and believes in enabling all local people to have the chance to participate in decision making and to have a say in how the city is run. She is married, has three children and has very much enjoyed living in Norwich over the last twenty years. In her spare time she enjoys looking after her allotment, jogging and spending time with friends and family.

Steven Altman
City Councillor for Wensum Ward
Steven has a great deal of experience dealing with issues for residents as a Green Party campaigner and former councillor. His main concerns are monitoring anti-social behaviour, reforming public transport and enhancing open space. Steven is a former President of UEA Student Union, where he successfully ran campaigns and lobbied First Buses.
