Jason Kitcat
Jason Kitcat, 30, is a councillor on Brighton & Hove City Council. His main concerns are:
- Health
- Sustainable transport
- Civil liberties.
Jason runs the technology side of Netmums.com, the UK's leading parenting website. Before this
he ran a successful local business for seven years, building websites for schools, associations and charities.
Jason advises a number of campaigning organisations and he is a school governor. He studied Computer and Management Science and then later Technology and Innovation Management at the University of Sussex. He is married and has a daughter.
Jason Speaks Out For Residents
Jason has been working hard for local residents. He has:
- campaigned against the introduction of communal bins
- opposed the proposed demolition of the old Royal Alexandra Hospital
- fought against the introduction of identity cards
- supported local traders
- campaigned for safer roads.
Jason Wins With 42% of the Vote!
Jason was elected to Brighton & Hove City Council in the hard-fought election of 2007. The other larger parties had much greater funding. However Jason still managed to increase the Green share of the vote.
Jason's campaign was the only one to reach out to the large local Polish population. He used leaflets written in Polish and Polish-speaking canvassers.
