Bring Our Troops Home
Leslie Rowe stood in the General Election in 2005. He was the only Richmond candidate to call for British troops to leave Iraq and Afghanistan. Living close to Catterick Garrison, Leslie campaigns for peace. Leslie wants an end to the suffering of families both here and abroad.
The USA uses Yorkshire as a base for its "Star Wars" programme. Leslie called for the spy bases at Menwith Hills and Fylingdales to be closed. They allow the USA to read e-mail and listen to telephone calls across Europe. Leslie can provide the effective opposition to these spy bases that is needed in the European Parliament.
A Campaigning Green Candidate

- Leslie campaigns for better public transport, especially in rural areas. As driving becomes more expensive, only the Green Party has the vision to see real alternatives to the car.
- Leslie calls for better footpaths and cycle ways. Every road in the region should have a safe route for walkers
