Issues in the Yorkshire and Humber region are the same across much of the country. The region has a large industrial base, which contributes to both CO2 and acid emissions. The region needs retraining so that skills from its traditional base can contribute to the new green industries.
The region also needs to improve the energy efficiency of local housing and power supplies.
