Matthew Ledbury
Matthew Ledbury, 40, works as a specialist adviser on transport and environment issues for a European organisation. He previously worked as a journalist. He has been an active campaigner on green issues for many years. He has previously been a General Election candidate for the Green Party. He believes the Green Party is the only party that truly looks to the needs of the future as well as those of the present.
Green Strength in Oxfordshire
Oxfordshire has been at the forefront of Green politics for many years. If elected, Matthew would promote traditional green areas such as:
• an improved local environment
• transport
• air quality.
He would campaign for proper community healthcare facilities to remain available to local people. He would also help the poorest in society to cope with the current economic downturn.
Candidate Tripled Green Vote
Matthew has been active in Green politics in several towns and cities in the UK. He tripled the Green Vote when he stood as Parliamentary Candidate for the Greens in 2001. Matthew has been involved in many successful election campaigns.
