Anti-Fracking Campaign
17 November 2011
The Vale Green Party and Bridgend Green Party are currently actively involved in an 'anti-fracking' campaign against hydraulic fracturing and its associated consequences.
Wales Green Party members were part of the ValeSaysNo team that caused the withdrawal of a test drilling planning application at Llandow. The ValeSaysNo website can be found here: http://thevalesaysno.com
The Bridgend Green Party are frequently updating their campaign blog on their website: http://bridgendgreens.wordpress.com/?s=fracking
The Vale Green Party are also actively involved in a call for a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing and its consequences on a Wales and UK level: http://nofrackinguk.com/
Mark Gabb, Vale Green Party, has created a campaign suggestion on the 38Degrees website which calls for a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing and its associated effects. Please support the campaign by voting for our campaign! You can vote up to 3 times! http://38degrees.uservoice.com/forums/78585-campaign-suggestions/suggestions/1717939-a-call-for-a-moratorium-on-hydraulic-fracturing-in
There is also an e-petition now available to sign on the new government website which has a similar message to the 38Degrees campaign: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/14271
