Felicity Norman on BBC Politics Show
16 November 2008
Green Party MEP Candidate for the West Midlands, Felicity Norman, appeared on the BBC Politics Show today, to talk about wind farms, of which the region has none and on incinerators, of which the West Midlands has too many.
Felicity argued that we need wind farms in a variety of places as part of the package of renewable energy technologies needed to tackle climate change, while nuclear is a red herring.
On incineration, Felicity argued that there are alternative ways of dealing with our waste: both a much better recycling rate and technologies such as anaerobic digestion. An anaerobic digestor is in operation in Ludlow.
