Volunteer for the National Party
Voluntary help is needed at all levels of the party and in all regions and people volunteer for all types of reasons. You may want to update your skills, be active, or improve your job prospects. There is no typical volunteer but it helps if you have a passion for Green politics, share our core values and can work effectively as part of a team.
We rely on our members to shape our policies, fight our campaigns and help to run and win elections where we can make a difference for the common good.
"As a volunteer, you can make new friends and meet like minded people. You will develop new skills and gain valuable work experience." - Sophie, London
"It's interesting to see the internal clock-work of a political/campaigning organisation and to have satisfaction that I'm part of that machine furthering the Green cause." - David, Kent
However you don’t need to be a member of the Green Party to help out and even if you can only give a few hours every so often or can commit some time every week we would like to hear from you.
Volunteering for National Office
Volunteers at Green Party National Office carry out a variety of administrative support work. This can range from helping with mail outs, answering telephone calls, email enquiries, data entry, data analysis, assisting our Fundraiser, Finance Officer, Membership Officer and much more.
In all areas we will provide in house training but any relevant experience and skill sets would be desirable.
To apply for the opportunity to volunteer send in your details by filling out these forms and returning them to email@example.com
Wherever possible we aim to identify specific roles for people according to their skills, experience, interest and availability. The more information you provide on the application form, the greater the likelihood of us being able to find an appropriate way to use your skills. We are very fortunate to receive a high level of interest for volunteering in our office, but with only limited opportunities available, this unfortunately means it is not always possible to place everyone that applies.
The office is based in London SE16 (nearest tube Bermondsey) and the office hours are between 10.00am-5pm Monday to Friday. We will cover reasonable travel expenses within London and a lunch allowance will be payable (on production of receipts).
Please note that due to the high level of applicants we will only reply to those that are successful.
All roles advertised are voluntary. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you are free to come and go as you wish.
At this time we do not offer internship or apprenticeship placements due to the size of National Office. We encourage applications from supporters of the Green Party and will consider school work placements of up to 2 weeks.
