Donor Network Development Manager (Part time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract)

Are you an experienced manager with strong communications, network development, relationship management and events delivery skills?

Then please apply to support the Green Party in the development of our fundraising programmes as our Donor Network Development Manager.

The Green Party is looking to enhance the resources of its fundraising team and is looking for a Donor Network Development Manager to support the development and delivery of a series of events to establish our network in 2020. The role is an opportunity for a creative, socially engaging and highly organized individual with significant relationship development experience in marketing or high net worth fundraising who wishes to play a hands-on role in engaging supporters in our plans to create a greener and fairer Britain. The Donor Network Development Manager is responsible for defining the value proposition and developing the identity of the network, attracting and engaging network members, delivering a series of events throughout 2020 and completing this one year contract with an assessment of how best to scale. They will report to the Head of Fundraising.

Salary:£34,236 to £36,331 per annum, pro rata (points 25 – 28 on the GPEW pay scale)

Hours: Part time – 2.5 days per week (17.5 hours); flexible working in line with the needs of the role will be expected

Line manager: Head of Fundraising

Line management responsibilities: Not applicable

Key relationships: Head of Fundraising, Donors, Head of Communications and other comms staff.

Climate Action Officer – 12 month, Fixed term contract (part time)

NOW is an exciting time to join The Green Party of England and Wales, as we set out to combat the Climate Emergency!

With the Government in Westminster failing to take the action needed to meet the scale of this challenge, Green Party councillors and members are stepping up to take local action to curb climate breakdown. 

The Green Party National Office have a newly created position which seeks to support the Association of Green Councillors (ACG) network, over 700 elected Green Party Councillors from every level of local government across England and Wales, as they lead local action to address the Climate Emergency.  

In the role, you will work closely with the ACG to establish networks between councillors and experts to drive action plans that will make going carbon neutral by 2030 a reality for all communities across England and Wales.

We are seeking an exceptional individual who can help us to implement strategies that will make Green policies a reality!

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of climate chaos and climate emergency issues
  • Experience of working with local councillors
  • Project management capability, to coordinate multiple stakeholders and outcomes
  • Preferable experience of coordinating an environmental campaign and/or working with political parties
  • Familiarity with local government structures, legislation, participation and decision making as well as connecting knowledge of how local councils work as well as connecting infrastructure like NALC and LGA
  • Understanding of the local government decision making process
  • Inspiring communication and influencing abilities
  • Determination and a proactive approach
  • Sympathy with the aims and policies of the Green Party, and with development of a more sustainable society

Salary: £23,500-£29,220 per annum, pro rata (Point 6-17 on the GPEW scale)

Field Organiser (South West England)

The Green Party in the South West of England has seen its best ever election results this year. In May, we re-elected our Green MEP and we secured the biggest ever increase in our number of Councillors, taking us to a record number of Council seats on more Councils than ever before.

We are short term staff member to cover a secondment. We are seeking a motivational organiser who has real drive to help us win more council seats and helping mobilise activists during any General Election that may soon arise. As a member of our field team, you will take a lead in supporting, training and advising our local parties in the crucial work they do to build their volunteer base and win elections.

As a Field Organiser, you will be a natural relationship builder, assisting local party campaign managers to the point that they will be keen to come to you for advice and assistance to organise and recruit activists, and for strategic advice on their election campaigns. Field Organisers are part of a high performing team within the Green Party that is having a transformational impact on the work of our local parties.

Salary: £23,500 – 29,220 per annum, pro rata (points 6-17 on GPEW pay scale

Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week. Some work will be outside of core hours (09:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday) according to the needs of volunteers

Annual Leave: 30 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)

Contract: Temporary, to 14th December 2019

Location: Home based (Travel to local parties as and when needed.)
