Young Greens/Student Organiser

Salary: £22,082 to £22,523 (points 6 to 8 on Green Party National Pay Scale)

Hours: 35 hours per week  (with some evening work expected for committee meetings)

Contract: Permanent

Green Party Field Organiser (2 roles)

Salary: £22,082 to £27,456 (points 6 to 17 on Green Party National Pay Scale), depending on experience and location.

Hours: 35 hours per week. The Green Party is also open to applicants who wish to apply to work part time or as a job share.

Contract: Fixed term position to 30 November 2018, with likely extension beyond this date. Some work will be outside of core hours (09:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday) according to the needs of volunteers.

Location: Home based with the option of working at the Green Party National Office, London. Travel to local parties as and when needed.

In the face of this, the Green Party’s team of Field Organisers has been achieving success across the board. We have two exciting opportunities to join this team and be part of this success in London and in the West Midlands region.

As a member of our field team, you will take a lead in supporting, training and advising our local parties in the crucial work they do winning elections so we have more elected Greens to do great things for their communities.

The Green Party is recruiting TWO Field Organisers, each to cover the local Green Parties in LONDON and the WEST MIDLANDS respectively.

These Field Organisers will lead local parties in their regions to grow their activist base, build their campaign teams, and increase their capacity to fight elections, ultimately bringing about change through electing Greens at all levels.

Purpose of the role
Field Organisers have overall responsibility for improving the capacity of local parties to fight and win elections. This includes providing training, guidance and advice on recruiting volunteers, building teams, and planning and executing election campaigns.

Field Organisers will be responsible for:
1. Supporting local parties to plan and execute successful election campaigns
2. Supporting local parties to build their election campaigning capacity through volunteer recruitment, team building and collaboration with other local Green parties
3. Managing a training programme to disseminate elections and capacity building best practice within and across local parties
4. Facilitating information sharing between local parties and the national party to ensure coordinated working
5. Liaising with regional committees to coordinate work across the region
6. Contributing to the network and resources of field staff

WALES GREEN PARTY NATIONAL COORDINATOR

Salary: £22,082 (points 6 on Green Party National Pay Scale)

Hours: 16 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed term position to 31 December 2018.

Location: Home based.

Wales Green party is recruiting for a National Coordinator to take a lead in supporting and advising our local Welsh parties in the crucial work they do winning elections so we have more elected Greens to do great things for their communities.

Key elements of this role will include:

1.       Assist in the development and delivery of the WGP Strategy, and support the work programme of the Party, in liaison with the Council.

2.       Build relationships with Welsh and Local Party officers and assist them in their roles.

3.       Help co-ordinate and develop the effectiveness of Green Party campaigns across Wales, supporting communications between local parties, Wales and GPEW.

4.       Contribute to an understanding of the support needs of local parties across Wales - including investment, training and resource needs, and development and campaigning priorities - to inform Wales and     GPEW planning.

5.       Capacity-build local parties, by identifying, nurturing and supporting key members involved in the development and growth of local parties, in conjunction with the Local Party Development Officer.

Parliamentary Assistant position in Brussels

Keith Taylor MEP is recruiting a Parliamentary Assistant to assist him in the European Parliament. In addition to a broad range of tasks, the Assistant will follow Keith’s work on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee, of which he is a substitute member, with a particular focus on energy and climate.

This job would suit a self-motivated team player, who has a strong commitment to green politics, as well as excellent organisational, communication and research skills. The post offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working in the European Parliament for a Green MEP.

Internship in Brussels

Are you interested in Green politics and Keith Taylor’s work in the European Parliament?

Are you available for a period of 6 months (with a possible extension) from March 2017?

Keith is looking for an Intern to play an active role in the workings of his Brussels office in the European Parliament. Being an Intern is hard work but an excellent way to experience and contribute to Green politics in action, and to gain an insight into the workings of the European institutions.

The selected candidate will receive a living allowance of around 1500 euros per month.
