Hours: 35 hours per week on a one year fixed term contract (with some degree of flexibility for the right candidate)

Location: Green Party National Office, London

Contract: One Year Fixed term contract

The Green Party is recruiting a Fundraising and Membership Manager to help ensure that we are maximising the interest in the party.  We have outstanding systems for managing the input of information from members and supporters, as well as very good mechanisms for recruiting members and donors, but we need to go that stage further.  With an increase in 2015 of over 50,000 members and 60,000 supporters we need to identify who are the key individuals who can help us and recruit more members and supporters.  The use of the telephone, email and mailings have been highly successful for the party in fundraising, but we need more capacity in a managerial role to ensure that all work is scheduled, managed and delivered on time and successfully.  This role will build on the work of the existing team and will be supported by the Fundraising and Operations Director, who comes with a depth of experience in this area to help support this role.

Ideally we need an individual who has helped build a fundraising operation from the ground up, has an outstanding knowledge of data management and is able to produce good quality copy for emails, letters and scripts.  By utilizing the input of the Director and outside suppliers, this role could help build the experience of an individual to take senior fundraising roles in the future and indeed build the team at the Green Party Head Quarters.

The Green Party has seen significant increase in support over the last year. Membership has quadrupled as has the support base. The next stages of developing the party are extremely challenging and require an individual who has an ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders to ensure that their wishes for the party are interpreted and delivered through the staffing body. Over the next few years the opportunity to develop the party into a competitive campaigning organisation, which draws significant attention and electoral success, are apparent and available. The foundations for delivering this have been set but the opportunity needs to be grasped by an individual who can listen, collaborate and lead the organisation to achieve greater impact both electorally and as a campaigning organisation.

There are thousands of activists around the country and an existing structure to work within, but to continue the ‘Green Surge’ and drive it into its next phase we need an individual who can pull together the thoughts of many into a campaigning force which directs our activists and others into effective action.

We are looking for an individual with successful Director level or CEO experience at an NGO, political or comparable organisation who will embrace the vision and potential of the Green Party, learn from and apply tactics derived from similar radical organisations across Europe and drive the party to its next stage of development.
