Opportunities in Green Party Head Office

Head of Finance

The core purpose of the role is to lead the Party’s finance function, delivering the Party’s financial plans and ensuring its full compliance with accounting and other regulatory standards. The post-holder will have lead responsibility for financial and management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. They will work closely in these roles with the Party’s CEO and Treasurer and will manage a small team based at the Party’s head office in London but will also liaise extensively with the Treasurers of both regional and local parties.

This is a demanding but exciting role involving the chance to shape the direction and future prospects of the Green Party.

Salary: £42,401 – £53,775 (Points 37-49 on Green Party Salary Scale)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Line manager: Chief Executive

Line management responsibilities: Senior Finance Officer, Finance Assistant

Member of the Staff Management Group

Reporting to: Chief Executive, Treasurer and Finance Coordinator, Green Party Executive (GPEX), and the Administration and Finance Committee.

Parliamentary Researcher – Office of Caroline Lucas MP (Westminster, London)

Caroline Lucas MP is looking for a new Parliamentary Researcher to lead on climate and energy issues. Working full time (35 h/pw) in Westminster, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working for an MP, be an outstanding communicator and be both ambitious and passionate about taking urgent action on climate change.

Junior Constituency Assistant – Office of Molly Scott Cato MEP (Bristol)

Molly is looking for a part-time (21 hours per week) Junior Constituency Assistant for her constituency office in Bristol. The role will start in approximately March 2018 and will initially be for a fixed term period of 3 months. The position provides an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into the workings of the constituency work of an MEP, the European Parliament and to contribute to green politics. You will be exposed to a broad range of issues and will contribute to the output of Molly’s constituency office.
