Salary: circa £30,000 pro rata for an initial fixed-term period of three months

Social Media Officer (Maternity Cover)

 

The Green Party is recruiting a Social Media Officer for maternity cover. We have a growing social media presence with over 300,000 followers already on Facebook and 211,000 followers on Twitter. You will help us to manage those accounts, creating and posting content. You will also be helping us to continue the growth of our social media presence by implementing our new post-election social media strategy, helping us to reach a new audience. 

Salary: £25–30,000 depending on experience

The HR & Office Manager will need to have the necessary experience, qualification and skills to hit the ground running, take charge across all HR functions and office management, review and implement processes, able to multitask, prioritise and handle responsibility well to be successful in this role.

Based in the London Office you will be supporting a team of 20 with a further 19 in the field across England and Wales.  As well as liaise with staff in the elected Green Politicians in Westminster, The MEP's of London, South East and South West and London City Hall.

Climate Change Campaigns Officer - CLOSED TO NEW APPLICATIONS CURRENTLY SHORTLISTING

The principal purpose of the Climate Change Campaigns Officer role is help develop, maintain and grow the Partys campaigning on issues related to climate change at national and local levels. They will have responsibility for the development of frameworks for selecting and evaluating campaigns including developing measures of success and channels for receiving and responding to feedback on campaigns.

Digital Officer - CLOSED TO NEW APPLICATIONS CURRENTLY SHORTLISTING

The Green Party is recruiting a Digital Officer to fill an important role supporting the organisations digital platforms. 

The Digital Officer will play a key role within the Digital team by ensuring content across all online platforms is kept up-to-date, being the primary point of contact for technical queries for staff and volunteers, maintaining user access to our systems and carrying out Digital Project work to maximise the potential of our platforms.

Our systems are built on opensource systems including Drupal, CiviCRM and ModX and consist of over 300 websites across the party. 

The chosen candidate will be adept in using a Content Management System and possess good working knowledge of HTML and CSS.  They will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, a good trouble-shooter with a natural ability to dissect complex problems, and be eager to learn and develop new skills.

Salary: £22,325 (point 6 on GPEW national pay scale)

Hours: 35 hours per week (with a degree of flexibility for the right candidate)

Opportunities in Local/Regional Parties

Telephone Campaign Fundraiser

The North East Green Party is delivering a telephone fundraising campaign across this region and is looking for self motivated individuals to work shifts total 31 hours.  the role will involve talking to party members about the achievements and aspirations of the North East Party and persuading them to make a financial contribution.  Training will be provided.

Salary: £9.37 per hour + Holiday increment

Hours: Total of 31 hours across the evenings and weekends of a two week period starting Monday 31st July to Sunday 13th August

Contract: Temporary (see above dates).  You will work on a self employed basis submitting an invoice for your payment at the end of the contract period.

Policy Advisor (Fixed Term)

 

The Green Party is recruiting a Policy Advisor on a 3-month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate will support the Party’s post-election policy clean up initiative.

 

The Role –

·         Tidying up policies set out in the 2015 general election

·         Cleaning out all expired information, so that a revised document can be used as background for both a second snap election and for policy references

·         Work on expanded policy briefings around the Green Guarantee

·         Integration and completion of all work on costing proposals in the Green Guarantee

·         Supporting the Communication Team with policy briefings as time permits, but especially in the event of another general election

·         Work with the Policy Coordinators on the Green Party Executive to produce a summary document on Party policy

 

The term of this post might extended.

 

You’ll be –

·         Postgraduate with exceptional research skills

·         Skills can also be demonstrated by experience as well as qualification

·         High level numeracy and experience in costing policy

·         Experience of working on policy briefings

·         Demonstrate familiarity with the Green Party's policy-making process and sympathy with the Party's aims.

·         Cannot be a member of another political party
