Social Media Assistant
The Social Media Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Green Party’s social media presence by elevating the impact of speeches, appearances, and a range of content through digital channels by producing timely, engaging, and professional content for a variety of channels and audiences.
Whilst the Social Media Assistant will only work a guaranteed 3 hours per week on average across the year, their impact on supporting with editing and posting content will make a big difference and will be greatly appreciated by the team they will support – who currently edit their own content.
The precise working weeks will vary but will roughly accord with school term times; approximately 35 working weeks per year. The working hours will be required in the evening, with the timing varying from early to late evening.
Salary: £23,133 - £23,596 per annum, pro rata (Points 4-5 on the GPEW salary scale)
Hours: Part time – average of 3 hours per week (with the possibility of further hours, subject to funding)
Location: Remote within the UK
Contract: Fixed term (12 months with potential for an extension, subject to funding)

Campaigns Assistant, Brighton & Hove
Brighton and Hove Green Party is looking for an organised, self-motivated Campaigns Assistant who can develop and co-ordinate our fantastic volunteers and ultimately help our successful Brighton & Hove team to show why the Green Party provides the only real alternative to the current system.
Purpose of the role
The Campaigns Assistant has a key role in helping to deliver the aims and objectives of the Brighton & Hove Green Party (BHGP).
Salary: £21,799 - £22,235 FTE (Point 1 -2 on the GPEW salary scale)
Hours: Part time – 3 days per week with the possibility of increasing to 4 depending on funding and the right candidate
Location: Party office, Brighton (with some home working possible)
Job type: Fixed-term (1 year with possibility of extension subject to fundraising)

Communications Officer, Brighton & Hove
Brighton and Hove Green Party is looking for a Communications Officer who can help the local party celebrate achievements and show off why the Green Party is the only real alternative to the current system, through a growing social media and digital presence, print publications and by working with the traditional media.
In doing so, this role aims to expand our membership and increase income, which will help us to win local and national elections in the years to come. You will have demonstrable experience of creating engaging social media and other digital content, brand marketing, as well as publications or print/broadcast experience.
We have a very dedicated and passionate team who have high ambitions for what we can achieve, we are looking for someone who can match those important characteristics.
This role is important to taking the Brighton and Hove Green Party to the next level and stage of its journey.
Purpose of the role
Working in accordance with the aims and objectives of Brighton and Hove Green Party, the key functions of the role are to:
- Manage the Party’s website, ensuring it is well presented and up to date
- Maintain and improve the Party’s social media presence and to support our Councillors’ social media channels
- Lead on the process of producing regular print publications, including writing copy and designing layout
- Manage proactive and reactive press and broadcast media.
Salary: £24,068 - £24,549 per annum, pro rata (points 6 - 7 on the GPEW Pay Scale)
Hours: 0.5 FTE / 2.5 days/ 17.5 hours per week
Location: Party office, Brighton (with some home working possible)
Job type: Fixed-term (1 year with possibility of extension subject to fundraising)
Line manager: Reporting to BHGP Party Manager
