HR & Office Manager

The Green Party is experiencing a period of significant growth. During 2019 we have seen a dramatic upsurge in the number of elected politicians, political influence, membership and ambition.

In order to harness the Party’s potential, we are looking for an experienced, highly organised, and positive HR professional to ensure the Party is an excellent employer, with the policies, systems and processes required to make this happen. The role is diverse and challenging with high levels of autonomy and responsibility in an exciting and agile environment.

The HR & Office Manager will need to have the necessary experience and skills to hit the ground running, take charge across all HR functions and office management, review and implement processes, be able to multitask, prioritise and to handle responsibility well to be successful in this role.

Based in the London Office you will be supporting a team of roughly 20 staff with a further 20 in the field across England and Wales, as well as liaising with staff of Green Politicians’ offices in Westminster, MEPs and London Assembly Members at London City Hall.

Salary: £34,235– £40,112 (Points 25-33 on the GPEW salary scale)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Membership Experience Manager

Adept at turning insight into marketing and communications messaging, you will lead on the delivery of central Party activity to recruit, activate and retain members to the Party. You will work closely with other departments on the development of digital member-focused content to help us build better engagement with members and supporters across England and Wales.

You will understand a range of approaches to create relation-based operations for growing the organisation’s membership and engaging members in the democratic process and activities of the Party, including supporting engagement of members in key campaigns.

You will lead an annual evaluation of our membership offer as relates to organisational impact goals, reviewing it to ensure the membership offer meets members’ and Party needs efficiently and effectively.

You will be an ambassador for good membership practice at all levels of the Party and able to secure enthusiastic buy-in from paid staff and volunteers to membership development initiatives. You will be intensely curious about what works, open to new ideas and experimentation, and a strong team worker.

2020 Campaign PA Admin Support Officer - London

The Green Party is going places, part of the Green Wave that is sweeping across Europe, responding to the great political challenges of our age. Nowhere is this more so than London, where our candidate for London Mayor in 2020 is Green Party co-leader Siân Berry.

As personal assistant you would work closely with the candidate for Mayor, managing her diary and supporting her administratively and logistically to ensure she is able to represent the party as effectively as possible.

The successful applicant will thrive in fast-paced environments, be flexible, and always remember to prioritise the needs of the candidate. You will manage competing priorities calmly, have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communications skills, have good attention to detail in the delivery of work, all while being intrinsically motivated by environmental and social justice.

Salary: £22,477 - £26,862 (points 3 – 12 on the GPEW pay scale)

Hours: Full time – 35 hours per week; flexible working in line with the needs of the role will be expected.
