HR Manager

Salary: £35,061 - £41,080 Full Time (35 hours per week) Permanent position.

Location: Green Party Head Office, London and Home working

The Green Party is looking for an experienced, organised and innovativeHR Manager to support a growing Party.This role is visible and respected within the Party and calls for an inspired individual to deliver an ethical HR service to the staff team whilst also managing a programme of improvements and changes, modernising our ways of working.

Over the last year, the HR function has led an HR policy review, the implementation of a specialised Application Tracking System and staff team activities to build togetherness and morale during the pandemic. As our HR Manager, you will help to develop the tools and approaches needed to foster and continuously improve a culture of innovation and respect while managing the day-to-day HR needs of the Party. This role will be varied, rewarding and challenging with high levels of autonomy and responsibility in an exciting and agile environment. Please apply to join us if this opportunity is a match for you.

Telephone Fundraiser

Role Description: The Green Party are aiming to fundraise for our upcoming local election efforts. Our aim is to inspire members to set up monthly donations and help fuel success at the elections in May 2021.

You will be joining an already successful team and, as a telephone fundraiser, you will be calling Green Party members following up on an appeal letter or email. The main aim of the telephone call is to inspire members about our work and to ask for a regular donation.

Every call will be an opportunity for us to learn about our members' experience with the Green Party.

Fundraising the targeted amount of money for our regions would be transformational. We have no doubt an increased monthly income can help us elect more Councillors and Assembly Members. You can be part of driving a Green Wave of success.

Salary: Brighton living wage at £9.50 an hour

Hours: At least 7 hours per week and up to 27.5 hours a week:

  • Weekday shifts will be 5:45pm - 9:15pm
  • Weekend shifts will be: 3pm - 8pm
  • There will be a rota where people will be able to book in working hours

Job type:

  • Fixed Term Worker
  • Paid training on Saturday, 30 January from 12noon to 2:00pm
  • Fundraising campaign runs until 28 March 2021, with an opportunity to extend.

Campaign Assistant (Communications), London Campaign

Purpose of the role: Sian Berry is running for the Mayor of London and we’re so excited about this campaign. We’re polling at a record level of support and have both the organisation and the ideas to deliver a record result.

As a communications-focused Campaign Assistant, you will focus on supporting our candidate Sian by accompanying her to public and press appearances, managing her diary and ensuring that she is in the right place at the right time with the right information.

As a Campaign Assistant on our London campaign, you will also work with the Campaign Manager to ensure the smooth running of our press and social media operation, by drafting press releases, producing social media content and leading on media monitoring in service of the campaign.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have good communications skills and excel at working with volunteers. We'll also require you to be
passionate about our mission, getting more Greens elected to City Hall and delivering environmental and social justice.

Salary: £22,947-£23,406 (points 4-5 on the GPEW pay scale)

As Digital Officer, you would helping produce online content that gets our potential voters excited about the campaign, through videos, social media posts, emails and website content.

The Digital Officer will work with the Campaign Manager and Communications Manager to deliver our digital strategy. With our members, volunteers and candidates, we can build a team to reach all Londoners. The successful candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, have great communication skills and excel at working with volunteers.

Election Campaign Consultant (South East)

The Green Party’s field team supports local Green Parties to organise and to win election campaigns. Achieving a new record number of gains at the last set of local elections in 2019, there are now over 80 Green councillors in the South East region alone. With a bumper set of elections in spring 2021, there is huge potential for Greens to breakthrough on to many more councils.

We are seeking a confident, motivational and experienced election campaign organiser who has real drive to help us win more elections. Working alongside our South East Field Organiser, you will take a lead in working with a specific set of prioritised campaigns to mentor our local parties to fulfil their campaign goals.

For the post of South East election campaign consultant, we are seeking an experienced election campaigner with a drive to win elections and a passion to work with others and support them to succeed.

Salary: £24,068 to £29,925 pro rata, depending on experience (Points 6 to 17 on the GPEW salary scale)

Hours: 3 to 5 days per week (21 to 35 hours) according to appointee’s preference (open to job shares)

Contract: Fixed term contract to 21st May 2021

Location: Working from home within the UK
