The Brighton & Hove Green Group of councillors have extended their congratulations to Jenny Jones, who today becomes Baroness Jones of Moulsecoomb. Jenny grew up in Moulsecoomb, and was elected by members of the national Green Party to be a candidate for the second chamber.
Green Group convenor Jason Kitcat said: "It’s wonderful to see a Green enter the second chamber. We look forward to Jenny championing the many social and environmental issues affecting many residents up and down the country. She will also be a vital voice arguing for a more democratic second chamber.”
