Green Party response to escalation of strike action by junior doctors

23 March 2016

Green Party health spokesperson, Larry Sanders said:

“The government’s attempt to force junior doctors to accept a contract which forces them to work in an unsafe manner was a sign of contempt to people committed to their work and our well-being. The BMA’s decision to call the first full withdrawal of labour in its history is a response to that arrogance and is a message to the public of the severe threats facing the NHS.

“We call on the secretary to withdraw the flawed contract and to get back to the negotiating table.”
