Larry Sanders stands in solidarity with health campaigners backing NHS Bill

4 November 2016

Larry Sanders, Green Party health spokesperson, stood in solidarity with health campaigners gathering outside the Houses of Parliament today (4 November) in support of the NHS Bill.

Green MP Caroline Lucas first brought the NHS Bill before Parliament in 2015 and the Green Party will continue to back it as it progresses through the House of Commons.

Sanders said:

“The NHS is the greatest public service our country has ever created, but it is being eroded by the creeping marketisation caused by successive governments.

“We must stop the drift towards privatisation and bring the NHS back into public hands so it can provide secure health and social care, free at the point of need, for generations to come.”
