The Green Party has responded to the Investigatory Powers Bill going through.
Jenny Jones, Green member of the House of Lords, said:
"We have given our security services unprecedented powers to spy on us. This will inevitably result in abuse of power and will mean Trump can know everything about us the Government knows. The reality of Government spying is going to come back to bite us in future years."
